On the Way to CASA Meeting:
Sunday, April 23, 2006

Walking on the way to the CASA Meeting at Sally's with Brother Ben.

We just came from a great barbeque at the 700 Club!

At the 700 Club we have brothers who are getting into recovery, working on their on-going recovery room and trying to better themselves.

They need the help, support and encouragement from others to
we can give as we count our own blessings.

Sometimes with service programs it is important to strike a balance beween helping people and them helping themselves as much as they can in order to avoid any kind of harmful enabling or co-dependence.

All of us must come to understand that on an individual level we are each responsible for our own continued recovery, we can and should help, but we must be ready, willing and able to help ourselves too.

This may seem like common sense, but sometimes common sense can be a rare quality in some circles. ~Peta, CASA Field Coordinator
