Today I went down to Loaves & Fishes to get lunch, to check it out and to see some of my people. It was a warm day in different ways. Official summer is coming. It was 97 degrees today. We will be hitting the century mark soon as temperatures are on the rise.

I was really surprised in a good way to see my ol' Amigo Manny G. I had not seen him for about a year and was really wondering if he had died as often happens to homeless people suffering from drug addiction and its dangerous lifestyle.

Our friendship goes back several years through the ups and downs, ins and outs and twists and turns of life in general, especially for people such as I who are working on 'life issues' in general, includng assorted addictions.

Brother Manny is FBI = Full-Blooded Indian. He told me that he had a real Spiritual Awakening a couple of months ago and that he came to decision to better his life and get off his crack addiction.

Being Honest, Open and Willing to change for the better is HOW the CASA Program Works. I will keep him in my prayers.

We must always be positive and supportive with people who are trying to better their lives in whatever ways are best for them in a non-judging way.
All of us fall short of the pure glory of God so we must be gentle and humble in our relations with others.

Many times people who think they are well and wonderful and look down on others who have fallen victim to drug addiction, people who think they are better because they are not drug addicts, are the ones in society who are really sick with their own secrets, their own sinister evilness and usually afraid of their own hidden fears. Beware of such fools!

CASA Step & Scripture Number 12:

#12. We tried to carry this Message to addicts and practice these principles in all our affairs; having had a ‘Spiritual Awakening’ as a result of working these 12-Steps.

Galatians 6:1 ~ "Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also shall be tempted.”
